Review of Time's 1982 Person of the Year

....From then to now computers have hit the world by storm. From the first computers ever made to the new computers still coming out til this day computers have always been a must have. In 1980 some two dozen computer company's sold 724,000 personal computers for $1.8 billion dollars. That was in 1980. Now look at 2010 that number alone has probably doubled if not tripled yet. By 1982 computers were entering job offices, class rooms, and houses all around America. Now look at today's time you can not find a place with out a computer. It was stated perfectly in 1982 " In a larger perspective, the entire world will never be the same". For example the industrialized nations of the West 1982 sales: 435,000 in Japan, 392,000 in Western Europe. As you can see computers were sailing all around the world. This also stated in the article saying "Looking ahead, the computer industry sees pure gold". these are some of the figures from 1982, there are 83 million U.S. homes with TV sets, 54 million white-collar workers, 26 million professionals, 4 million small businesses. It was estimated that for the number of personal computers in use by the end of the century run as high as 80 million. Stated perfectly by a news writer in 1982 "The surface is barely scratched," says Ulric Weil, an analyst for Morgan Stanley. And he was exactly right computers have been on the rise rapidly and coming up with newer and better features than they probably could imagine in 1982. So as the world stands today it is apparent computers are the future and affect basically every way of life that we experience. So if you think computers are good now just wait til later on they can only get better and will get better.

Why Im Studying Mass Communication

Because I have always wanted to work in the field of mass communication. I am good at creating commercials and video skits. I also took a mass communication class in high school were I learned how to make movies and also work on reporting on camera and off camera. And all these things were something that I did very well so I decide to advance my learning in this field now that I'm in college and see where my skills in this field can take me in the future as i graduate and head to grad school and into the mass communication work field. All in all I plan on and you can count on me moving my way up to the top and making some big things happen as I continue to advance my learning in the mass communication field.
