The Color of Money

....In the year of 1981-1986 banks all over Atlanta have been dening Black people approval for loans. "Banks and savings and loans return an estimated 9 cents of each dollar deposited by blacks in home loans to black neighborhoods. They return 15 cents of each dollar deposited by whites in home loans to white neighborhoods." "The offices where Atlanta's largest banking institutions take home loan applications are almost all located in predominantly white areas. Most savings and loans have no offices in black areas." These are just some examples of how banks purposely try to ensure that whites would receive a better chance than blacks when they attempted to take out a loan. Blacks had hard times trying to live better lives for themsleves in Atlanta because they were being denied all over by bank after banks because of the color of there skin, no matter if they had met or exceted the requirements they were still being denied. It was almost like banks were looking at blacks and was like there money wasin't good enough to them.
